Grundy Bank Visa® Debit Card

with Chip Card Technology

Grundy Bank is rolling out new chip cards that will help you protect your card from any unauthorized use. It's our way of adding an extra layer of security while you pay. They can be used anywhere your other cards are being used but the chip function will only work at those businesses that have a chip-enabled terminal. You may notice that some merchants may have chip-enabled terminal, but it may not be activated and ready to accept a chip. If you are not sure if the merchant is set-up to process a chip transaction, you can ask the merchant or simply swipe your card.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY NEW CHIP CARD?

All chip cards will be disbursed over the next year (2018-2019) of the month it expires. For instance, your current debit card expires in July of 2020, you will receive your new chip card in July of 2018. We ask that you activate your new chip card within 60 days of receiving it by calling the number on your card, (888)463-4590. Be sure to shred your old debit card as it will no longer be valid.

I RECEIVED MY NEW CHIP CARD, NOW WHAT?

Once you receive your new chip card, please be sure to activate it within 60 days of receipt by calling (888)463-4590. Once the card is activated and ready to use, be sure to destroy your old card.

ARE THERE CHARGES OR FEES TO USE MY NEW CHIP CARD? 

There is no charge to use your Grundy Bank Visa® Debit Card with a merchant or at Grundy Bank ATM terminals.

To change your PIN number - Call (800) 567-3451

To activate your debit card - Call (800) 992-3808. If you have problems activating your debit card through the 800 number, please feel free to call the main bank at 815-942-0130.
